I thought you might like these pictures taken of me
ten minutes apart shortly after I finished my chemotherapy.
The only difference is my wig and simple make up. I
lost all of my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. My eyebrows
were just starting to come back in the picture.
... I can't tell you what a difference it has made
to my life over this past year to have my beautiful
wig. ... In the overall situation of being treated for
cancer, I was aware that my hair was really a minor
concern, yet it meant a lot to me. ... I still remember
my delight when I saw the magic you had worked on my
wig when I picked it up a few weeks before I was due
to lose my own hair.
I have truly been able to put my best face forward
this year because of this. People that did not know
me did not suspect there was a problem. I generally
went about my personal and professional life in ordinary
ways - went to work, attanded meetings, went to formal
affairs. Occasionally someone who did not know me complimented
me on my hair, and I would grin and say, "Thank
you!" To poeple I did know I usually said, "How
do you like my hair - isn't it great?" and they
would join me in my enthusiasm. It made it all so easy.
